So, as a mac user that has been building and using Asterisk in
production for over a year now, I am wondering...
Is this (openPBX) really a drop in compatible deal with my asterisk
1.2.13 config files? Does it put things in the same places?
I am running two asterisk servers on mac hardware, one 1.2.13 release
that is handling most of the calls, and one 1.4trunk which I am using
just to see what the new release offers.
I think I would be VERY interested in switching to OpenPBX on the
production system, if it's a truely compatible rig or very close and
easy to migrate to... Also I like the idea of having working music
on hold for once ;~)
Also I would like to say, that while touting the "cross platform"
nature of OpenPBX, this project intends to fork off to a mac only
release?
I am torn (as I have said) between a true "mac-like" telecom setup,
and keeping up with current releases/features/bugfixes.
I am hoping to have a chance (perhaps this weekend) to try building
OpenPBX and see how that works for me...
Thanks for all you efforts! Looking forward to some click mac
telephony tools at some point...
Marty
