We also have Asterisk up and running on OS X, on an intel Mini I
bought for my company a couple of months ago. Before that I ran
Asterisk on a 5 year old G4. I have around 35 telephones, mostly on
pap2-adapters (Linksys), and 5 Grandstream GXP-2000 phones. I found a
company that I connect to with IAX that I use for outgoing/incoming
calls to the analog telephone network, and very cheap too (I am in
Norway).
The timer issue has been fixed in OpenPBX.org, and I will use that
instead of Asterisk when they have a final release ready. There are
still some small issues with it that I will wait until I switch.
I have also developed a Cocoa application that I use to connect to
Asterisk and OpenPBX.org. Here is an URL to some screenshots: http://
