Your info is out of date. It's supported on the 4, 5 and 6.x versions, and
has been quite stable, based both on what I've read and my own limited
expreience. It's not perfect, but it's not crashing.
Just want to make sure you are picking the right nits. :)

I'm actually starting to dig into the Zaptel stuff, as the FreeBSD Zaptel
team seem to need a bit of a hand. Was there ever any forward progress on
the Zaptel stuff, or just professional quotations?
